Many friends have bought Foxwell NT530 scanner, but just can’t take appropriate advantage of its special functions, especially EPB reset function. One friend of mine complained to me, “I already bought Foxwell NT530 three months ago, but I can’t use it well to diagnose the problem of my car.” So those who have upgraded the machine to the newest version don’t have to worry about that any more. Please stay tuned to my updating of this series of operation instruction.
Let’s take the use of EPB reset function as an example.
Car model operated: Volvo XC90 2016
Select “Volvo”>>Select “Manual Selection” >>Select “2016>>Select “North America”.
Then you will come to a new interface of choosing your vehicle model and year. See as follows:
Here, click “XC90 (16-)” and “2016”. Next, we have to choose the corresponding vehicle engine type (“B4204T23”), vehicle transmission (“TG-81 SC”).
A new Menu will come to us:
It lists three categories: Diagnosis, Service, Vehicle details.
Let’s click “Service” and we will find “Electric Parking Brake”. That’s it! Click it to continue.
Click “Parking Brake Service Position” and then click “Diagnosis” to see what NT530 can do:
You can do a Quick Scan of you car if you want to. But here, let’s choose “Control Modules” to continue.
There are many modules listed up on the “System Menu”. We will choose “Brake Control Module (BCM).
Let’s see specific diagnosis function together:
